References in this Privacy Policy Statement to "we", "us" and "TrueHarness" are to TrueHarness. We are committed to maintaining your privacy. Our privacy policy statement is given below. If we make changes to this policy, we will notify you by updating this statement on our Website.


What information do we collect?

We ask for your name, telephone number, home address and email address for newsletter sign ups. When a purchase is made on our site, in addition to the above, we also ask for delivery address, and payment method details. We may obtain information about your usage of our Website to help us develop and improve it further through online surveys and other requests.


What the data will be used for?

Your data will enable us, and our processors, to fulfill your order, to notify you about important functionality changes and for statistical or survey purposes to improve this website and our services to you. We may also send you from time to time (by email or post) information about products and services and details of promotions and special offers from us. If you do not wish to be contacted for these purposes, we offer a range of ways in which you can inform us about your marketing preferences:

Shopify

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Mobile Privacy

We offer mobile-optimized experiences that allow you to shop online, check product availability, learn about store events, or receive other information from us. All personal information collected by us via our mobile application is protected by this Privacy Policy.

Social Media Plug-Ins

Our Internet presence uses social plug-ins (“plug-ins”) from Facebook and Google to establish a connection to the respective social-media site. In some cases, only data on the browser use is passed on. However, if you actively use plug-ins (in your Facebook profile for example) this information is also passed on. The following describes the plug-ins used by us:

Facebook Plug-Ins

Our Internet presence uses plug-ins from the social-media network Facebook.com, operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The plug-ins are recognizable by the Facebook logo, sometimes including the phrase “Facebook Social Plug-in”. When you click on our web page containing such a plug-in, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The content of the plug-in is then sent from Facebook directly to your browser and embedded into our web page by this means. Through this plug-in connection, Facebook receives the information you have called up through our website. For this purpose, the Internet address of the web page visited (including your IP address) is sent to a Facebook server in the U.S. and stored there. As a rule, it is not possible for Facebook to identify persons on the basis of the dynamic IP address which is typically assigned to you by your access provider when you surf. According to Facebook’s own public statements, this data is not further processed by them, nor is it provided to third parties; after three months it is anonymized, so that there is no possibility of it being matched to any person. This will not apply however if you are logged onto Facebook at the time you visit our site. In that case Facebook can match your visit to your Facebook account. In the event that you interact with the plug-ins, for instance hit the “Like” button or leave a comment, your browser’s information will be sent directly to Facebook and stored there. Please see the Facebook privacy policy for more information on the purpose and extent of the data collected and its processing and use by Facebook, as well as your rights and measures to protect your private data.

If you are a Facebook member and do not wish Facebook to collect data on your visits to our websites, please be sure to log out of Facebook prior to visiting our sites.

By accepting our privacy policy and continuing to use our site while logged into your Facebook account you are opting into allowing our site to offer you an optional subscription to Facebook messenger updates when adding products to the cart. We use this connection to send you an update on the products you may have left in the website shopping cart via the Facebook messenger.

You can also choose to unsubscribe anytime by messaging back on Facebook, or emailing us at support@trueharness.com. 

What information do we share with others?

We may contract with other companies to provide certain services, including credit card processing, shipping, name and address verification, email distribution, market research and promotions management. We provide these companies with only the information they need to perform their services and work closely with them to ensure that your privacy is respected and protected. These companies are prohibited by contract from using this information for their own marketing purposes or from sharing this information with anyone other than us. We may pass your information onto our returns warehouse, which operates our US returns, which will treat the information in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy Statement, such as to accept returns for products purchased through the Website. However, we will not pass your information on to any other companies or other third parties for marketing purposes unless you have agreed for us to do so.

Cookies

A Cookie is a small data file that is stored by your Web browser on your computer. We use Cookies to keep track of your current shopping session, to enable you to proceed to checkout at any time and to personalize your online experience. If you do not accept Cookies, you will be unable to use this website.

By using our website, you (the visitor) agree to allow third parties to process your IP address, in order to determine your location for the purpose of currency conversion. You also agree to have that currency stored in a session cookie in your browser (a temporary cookie which gets automatically removed when you close your browser). We do this in order for the selected currency to remain selected and consistent when browsing our website so that the prices can convert to your (the visitor) local currency.

Privacy of Children on our Website

Our Website is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, and we will not knowingly collect any information from any person below the age of 13. If we become aware that an individual is under the age of 13 and has submitted any information to us for any purpose without prior verifiable parental consent, we will delete his or her information from our files.
